In November of 2013, I was moved from Alice in Wonderland to a new unannounced project that was slated for release on iOS, Android and Windows Phone in May 2014. At this time the game had been in development for 6 months.
The game was a turn based combat game using a Rock Paper Scissors mechanic to make the combat interesting. Players would bring teams to battle and they would fight in both in PvE and PvP. The game was also synced across all platforms and all devices. Players could play the game on an iPad and then return to the same game on an Android Phone. My responsibilities on the project included:
- Part of leadership team responsible for a team of 39 to develop a cross-platform synced game on iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Facebook
- Facilitated relationships with all Central Services teams including
- Localization
- Analytics
- Disney QA
- Windows and Android Port Team
- Monetization
- Legal
- Social and Viral Engineering
- Wrote 58 separate specifications which were then collated to create the GDD for the game. Specs included systems such as:
- Tutorial and NUF
- Synced Gameplay Functionality
- Monetization Features
- Social Features and Functionality
- Quest System
- Helped develop a content and AB test plan for Geo-Beta and eventual Worldwide Launch
